Unpack the tar file NEFCON.TAR into your MATLAB working directory: tar xf NEFCON.TAR 2. Start MATLAB 3. Change to the installation directory. 4. Change to the NEFCON directory. 5. Start the STARTUP M-file to initialize NEFCON. To test the installation change to the SAMPLES directory and start SAMPLE1B. Double click on the NEFCON SYSTEM block. Then press the SIMULATE button. The NEFCON system now learns to control the system. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Required Software - Matlab 4.2c - Simulink 1.3c - Fuzzy Logic Toolbox 1.0 - UITOOLS Toolbox - NCD Blockset (If you want to use the NEFCON Bounded Signal Generator) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Known problems Due to a bug in the MATLAB HTHELP function sometimes the NEFCON Help will not work correctly (ERROR: ***Unable to load file.***). Work around: 1. Set your working directory to the NEFCON HELP directory. 2. Call HELP (button or menu). 3. Go back to your current directory. Hints to the 'tools' directory: A new version of setfis.m (Fuzzy Logic Toolbox) is included in this package. This file is an updated version distibuted by The Mathworks (http://www.mathworks.com).
