What's in nefcon_1.0.bin.sun4.tar? ================================== This are statically linked binaries for the SUN4 architecture running SunOS 4.1.1. There is no resolve code included. You don't need shared libraries (i.e. you also don't need InterViews) to run these programs. This NEFCON-I binary was compiled with gcc 2.6.2 to avoid possible problems with a new libc version. This problem should only affect you, if you have compiled NEFCON-I by yourself with an older gcc version, and then upgraded to a new libc version. This binary (and the old one) is statically linked, so there should be no problems anyway (new binary is dated Dec 15, 15:56). The tar file includes the executables nefcon, pendulum and datagen. Also included is the directory /data that includes examples to be used with nefcon. Please print and read the documentation in MANUAL.ps on how to use NEFCON-I. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO GUARANTEE THAT THESE PROGRAMS WILL RUN ON YOUR SYSTEM, AND THERE IS ALSO ABSOLUTELY NO GUARANTEE THAT THESE PROGRAMS WILL NOT BE HARMFUL TO YOUR HARDWARE OR YOUR DATA. USE THEM AT YOUR OWN PERIL!
